/n Grand Blanc, Michigan, May 29, 2013. The Commercial Board of REALTORS® – Michigan (CBOR) is pleased to announce that the City of Taylor Economic Development Department has chosen CPIX.net, Michigan's Commercial Property Information Exchange, as the commercial property search engine for the City of Taylor's website; www.cityoftaylor.com.
/n
/n CBOR, with 650+ members, provides Michigan’s commercial real estate practitioners with industry-related professional services and benefits. One of CBOR’s greatest member benefits is www.CPIX.net, the statewide commercial property information exchange (CIE). CPIX, similar to a local MLS, is a commercial marketing platform that averages over 20,000+ commercial properties available for sale or lease throughout Michigan. Additionally, integrated building data coupled with 10 years of property history, allows professionals the ability to analyze local market statistical trends. CPIX is governed and operated by the CBOR Board of Directors, and offers a state, national, and international public interface.
/n
/n CPIX provides many options for Economic Development ranging from free links to CPIX to paid options including "EDCLink", "SiteFinder" and regional data exports. The City of Taylor is using "EDCLink" which allows a display of Taylor properties only, updated in real time every time a CPIX user makes a change to his/her data. The search engine is framed into the City's website and includes mapping, reports, email and more. CPIX has many built-in data integrity controls to ensure that the data is accurate. Time stamps removing information that hasn’t been verified for 45 days as well as required data fields allows the site selector to focus on relocating businesses rather than trying to obtain and update local availabilities.
/n
/n The City of Taylor joins the following economic development groups in Michigan that are using CPIX for site selection and display of local properties: The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), Oakland County, Wayne County, Ann Arbor SPARK, Genesee County, Jackson County, LEAP (Lansing, Eaton, and Clinton counties), City of Detroit, City of Auburn Hills, City of Fenton, and the City of Novi.
/n
/n Greg Capote, the economic development manager for the City of Taylor, said "CPIX is the hallmark of our marketing strategy for the City of Taylor. Since joining, we have experienced a significant increase in site tours by major companies and real estate consulting firms. CPIX is clearly the choice of real estate and economic development professionals alike".
/n
/n CPIX.net is available to the public allowing anyone to search and market their commercial properties for free to CPIX members. Membership upgrades are available to real estate licensees, appraisers, and economic development professionals.
