CBOR Members,
/n
/nOne of CBORs most popular benefits is the free continuing education that we offer every year to our members. This year we have two six-hours dates scheduled; September 18th at TechShop Detroit and October 9th at Crystal Gardens in Howell. Registration will open in mid-July. Look for future announcements or visit www.cbor.net or www.cpix.net.
/n
/nAs a result of the changes that took place legislatively last year, we are no longer able to conduct the con ed audit that we have in previous years. CBOR, as your association, no longer has access to your education record only YOU do.
/n
/nThe new tracking system beginning January 1, 2015 is provided through the Michigan REALTORS® (MR). MR has established a new website, CE Marketplace, www.cemarketplace.net. Previously, education records could be accessed through LARA at https://www.lara.michigan.gov/colaLicVerify/. 2013 and 2104 education records remain accessible on the LARA site while 2015 records will only be available at the CE Marketplace website.
/n
/nRegardless of these changes, all attendees of CBOR classes will have their attendance submitted to the CE Marketplace by CBOR and will receive a certificate of completion directly from the CE Marketplace. If you take any non-CBOR courses, you are responsible for making sure either you or your education provider submits your attendance.
/n
/nAdditionally, CBOR will continue to have all instructors and classes approved by the CE Marketplace, although it is no longer a requirement to obtain approval from LARA. This way, we are ensuring quality class content presented by experienced industry professionals.
/n
/nIf you need further assistance regarding your continuing education record or have any questions about the new CE Marketplace, please call the MR at 844-642-6633.

/nSincerely,
